Temple-Health is recruiting a Genetic Counselor Manager to lead a growing Risk Assessment Program in Philadelphia. This full-time, day-shift role partners with departmental leadership to hire, retain, and develop genetic counselors and assistants while delivering expert genetic counseling and care coordination to patients.

Leadership and administrative responsibilities will account for about 50% of the role.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree from an ABGC accredited Genetic Counseling program (Required).
• 10+ years experience as a cancer genetic counselor (Required).
• 10+ years experience with HIPAA and patient privacy practices (Required).
• 3 years experience in management of genetic counseling services (Preferred).
• Amer Board of Genetic Counseling (Required).
• PA Genetic Counselor License (Required).

Responsibilities

• Hire, retain, and develop genetic counselors and genetic counseling assistants within the department.
• Provide genetic counseling services and care coordination to patients.
• Partner with departmental leadership to optimize the growing genetic counseling practice.
• Leadership and administrative responsibilities should account for 50% of overall effort.

The Department of Clinical Genetics of Fox Chase Cancer Center invites applications for a full-time Genetic Counselor Manager position. Our Risk Assessment Program was established in 1991 as one of the first in the nation to offer comprehensive services aimed at personalizing cancer risk estimation, prevention, and early diagnosis. In this newly created role, this individual will partner with departmental leadership to optimize our growing genetic counseling practice. The Genetic Counselor Manager will be responsible for hiring, retention, and development of the genetic counselors and genetic counseling assistants within the department. Also, provide genetic counseling services and care coordination to patients in the practice with ability to apply an expert application of knowledge and skills in complex situations. Leadership and Administrative responsibilities should account for 50% of overall effort.

Education

• Master's Degree from an ABGC accredited Genetic Counseling program Required
