Job summary

Orlando Health’s Women’s Institute is seeking a genetic counselor to provide counseling, assess family risk, and support testing decisions within Maternal Fetal Medicine. The role involves evaluating medical and family histories and coordinating genetic testing.

Qualifications include a Master's in Genetic Counseling, board certification eligibility, and 0–3 years of clinical experience. This is a full-time, day-shift position with comprehensive benefits starting on day one.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Genetic Counseling required.
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible (18 months to complete) by ABMG or ABGC.
• 0–3 years of work experience in clinical genetic counseling.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and review patient’s medical and family histories to determine if genetic testing is indicated.
• Facilitate the process of genetic testing and interpret results with patients and providers.
• Formulate a medical management plan based on history and test results.
• Maintain compliance with Orlando Health policies and participate in education and committees.
