Job summary

The Genetic Counselor Clinical Assistant at Children’s Minnesota will provide clinical, clerical and administrative support to the Genetic Counseling team in Clinical Genetics and Genomics. You will interact with patients, clinicians, labs and insurers through all stages of genetic evaluation, counseling and testing, applying genetics knowledge and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in genetics, biology or health sciences required.
• 2 years of healthcare experience; experience in clinical genetics preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, clerical and administrative support to the genetic counseling team.
• Interact with patients, clinical providers, and other medical professionals, as well as insurers and labs throughout the genetic evaluation process.
• Assist in data management and tracking of laboratory results; support counseling and testing workflows.
