Job summary

Walser Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Certified Automotive Technician for Genesis of Kansas City in Merriam, Kansas. You will diagnose and repair complex issues, perform factory-recommended maintenance, and work with dedicated service staff to deliver top-tier customer care.

You will use TruVideo and digital estimating tools, stay current with Genesis technology, and be rewarded for quality workmanship, productivity, and teamwork in a climate-controlled, brand-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Automotive degree/certificate or a minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience required
• Current ASE Certifications required
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience performing advanced mechanical and electrical repairs
• Commitment to quality workmanship and completing repairs correctly the first time
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative shop environment
• Strong reliability, organization, and work ethic
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns with accuracy and efficiency
• Perform repairs and maintenance according to dealership and manufacturer standards
• Complete thorough vehicle inspections and identify additional safety, maintenance, or repair needs
• Partner with Service Advisors to clearly communicate diagnostic findings, repair recommendations, and estimated completion times
• Document all diagnostics, repairs, and completed work accurately on repair orders
• Utilize TruVideo and digital estimating tools to help provide customers with a transparent service experience
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training and stay current on evolving Genesis technology, systems, and repair procedures
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship, productivity, and attention to detail
• Support and collaborate with fellow technicians and members of the Service team

Compensation & Earning Potential

Earn up to $43.40 per flagged hour, based on experience, qualifications, and production!

Sign-On Bonus Opportunities Available! Experienced technicians may qualify for a sign-on bonus based on qualifications, certifications, and relevant experience.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring
