Job summary

Genesis Design Center seeks a Sr. Design Program Manager at our El Segundo, CA facility to lead end-to-end design programs for mass-production vehicles. The role interfaces with Hyundai Motor Group HQ in Korea and the U.S.

Design Studio to translate requirements into robust design solutions. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Art Design or Business, 7+ years in program management, 5+ years in the car industry, 3+ years in art design, 1+ year in finance, and bilingual proficiency in English and

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Program/Project management experience.
• 5+ years of Car industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Art design.
• 1+ years of experience Finance.
• Bilingual in English and Korean.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end design projects through the mass-production vehicle development process.
• Establish, track, and coordinate design development timelines aligned with vehicle development schedules.
• Oversee and integrate design deliverables, issues, and project updates across programs.
• Coordinate agendas, materials, and content for design executive reviews and leadership reporting.
• Manage design-related materials and presentation assets for senior management communication.
• Identify and organize design issues requiring executive-level decisions across projects.
• Support effective design leadership decisions by providing options and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Serve as central contact for project-related design communication and coordination.
• Secure the product budget by planning with Namyang PM and drafting/submitting the BUA.

Key Responsibilities

• Foster effective communication between relevant functions at Hyundai Motor Group headquarters in Korea and the U.S. Design Studio
• Closely understand requirements and requests from global partner teams and clearly communicate them to designers
• Actively support designers in identifying solutions that meet program, and development requirements
• Coordinate and integrate input across NY Design program team.
• Support alignment between design intent, development constraints, and executive-level expectations.
• Manage the product budget with the expatriate and support them.

What you will do

What you will bring to the role

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in art Design, Business

Related Industry Experience Requirements:

• 7+ years of Program/Project manager
• 5+ years of Car industry experience
• 3+ years of experience Art design
• 1+ years of experience Finance

• Bilingual in English and Korean

$76,000.00 ~ $109,000
