Job summary

OFS Global Energy Solutions in Brownsville, TX is seeking experienced Generator Technicians to support a major power generation project. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and operate large-scale equipment in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have generator commissioning and field service experience, knowledge of diesel and gas turbine systems, and a strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting mindset. Safety and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in generator commissioning and field service.
• Familiarity with diesel generators, gas turbine generators, switchgear, transformers is highly desirable.
• Experience working on industrial generator packages, temporary power systems, or power plant equipment.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Full working rights in the US at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, inspection, and maintenance of generator packages and supporting equipment.
• Support generator start-up, shutdown, synchronization, and load testing activities.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults on power generation equipment.
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
• Assist with commissioning and operational readiness testing.
• Perform electrical checks, cable terminations, and equipment inspections.
• Monitor equipment performance and report operational issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
• Work safely in accordance with project HSE requirements.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, OFS Global Energy Solutions are currently recruiting for multiple experienced Generator Technicians to support a high-profile power generation project in Brownsville, Texas.

This position will focus on the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and operation of large-scale power generation equipment operating in a fast-paced power generation environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing installation, inspection, and maintenance of generator packages and supporting equipment.
