Your Impact

Are you a skilled and highly motivated Generator Technician who is looking to learn and grow in a fast‑paced, challenging role in the Telecom industry? The role involves service and repair of commercial generators on cell‑phone towers, traveling across the region.

Core Responsibilities

• Maintain generators, diagnose and repair problems, install and replace components or entire systems, and perform additional maintenance or upgrades on out‑of‑season equipment.
• Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance to ensure proper readiness; read and follow blueprints or other design specifications.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls; test for proper operation.
• Respond promptly to Power/Generator alarms; be on call 24/7 if necessary; answer assigned phone and email promptly.
• Work with awareness of all potential hazards (falls, electric shock, falling objects, traffic); use safety equipment and attend all safety meetings.

Specific Duties

Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Core Experience

• Two or more years of experience with generator maintenance preferred; minimum one year of intense work‑related experience with generator and electrical maintenance.
• Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair; knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.

Physical / Work Environment

• Lifting over 50 pounds; stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for long periods.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment/alarms effectively; visual and audible evaluation.
• Willing and able to drive long distances, work day, evening, or night hours; overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, and holidays as required; assume 24‑hour on‑call duty when assigned and be away from home for extended periods.
• Pass a DOT physical.

Base Pay Range: $30 USD – $40 USD
