Generator Technician

Belleview, FL | $23–$28/hour + commission | Full-time

Sunshine Air Conditioning is growing its Whole Home Generator division and is looking for an experienced Generator Technician to join our residential team.

This role is a great fit for someone with hands-on generator or electrical experience who enjoys working directly with homeowners. You'll install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot whole-home standby generators while also helping customers understand recommended repairs, upgrades, and maintenance.

What You'll Do

• Install and service whole-home standby generators
• Perform generator startup, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Diagnose electrical and operational issues
• Work with transfer switches, wiring, panels, breakers, and related components
• Explain system issues and recommended repairs to homeowners
• Identify additional repair, upgrade, and maintenance opportunities when appropriate
• Complete service documentation and maintain a clean, professional work area
• Follow safety procedures, manufacturer requirements, and applicable electrical codes

What We're Looking For

• Previous generator, electrical, HVAC, or related residential service experience
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical/electrical skills
• Comfortable working in customers' homes
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Able to explain technical issues and recommendations clearly
• Reliable, professional, and willing to learn
• Generator experience is preferred, but related residential electrical experience will be considered

Pay: $23–$28/hour + commission on generator sales
