Job summary

W.W.Williams in Woodstock, GA, is seeking a Generator Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose standby power generators and related systems. The role involves team-based execution of scheduled and emergency service, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

You will handle a range of generator brands, perform diagnostics on electrical and diesel systems, and maintain service trucks and inventories while staying current on product updates and specifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience servicing 8.5kW–3500kW generators.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and diesel engines.
• Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, modify, diagnose, and rebuild standby power generators and fire pump drivers.
• Perform failure analysis and emergency field service for customers.
• Service a variety of other brands of power generation equipment.
• Operate, drive, and maintain company service trucks and parts inventory.
• Check/repair supporting fuel, cooling, and electrical systems.
• Operate load banks and record instrumentation.
• Keep current on product changes and specifications.
