Job summary

Fidelity Power Systems in Roanoke, VA is seeking a seasoned Generator Technician to support the Greater Roanoke area. The role requests strong skills in troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing critical power equipment.

You will perform preventative maintenance, engage with customers one-on-one, and prepare quotes and reports while keeping accurate records of work performed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Vo-tech school or Military training, a plus.
• John Deere, Cummins, and/or Caterpillar engine training is preferred.
• Training on Automatic Transfer Switches.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuit boards.
• Perform routine generator maintenance to include oil and filter change, fuel filter change, and cooling system services.
• Work with customers on a one-on-one basis.
• Complete and submit work orders and reports.
• Prepare accurate quotes for repairs.
• Maintain truck inventory.

Job Description

Fidelity Power Systems , one of the nation's largest distributors of Kohler Generators and Power Systems, is seeking a seasoned Generator Technician to join our expanding team operating around the Greater Roanoke area (based out of Roanoke, VA)!

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform preventative maintenance on standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas and diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuit boards.
• Perform routine generator maintenance to include oil and filter change, fuel filter change, and cooling system services.
• Work with customers on a one-on-one basis.
