Job summary

Mountain Home Services is seeking a Generator Service Technician to join our team. This role performs annual preventive maintenance and diagnostic work on customer generators, including oil changes, battery maintenance, valve adjustments, and identifying issues that prevent operation.

Qualified applicants will have mechanical aptitude, 1+ year experience, and the ability to read schematics. Generac training is a plus; must maintain a clean driving record and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude demonstrated via relevant duties.
• 1+ year experience in mechanical tasks (oil changes, air filters, small engine repair, etc).
• Ability to read one-line diagrams or schematics.
• Generac protector training is preferred.
• Provide exceptional customer service on the job site.
• Must be self-motivated to stay on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Gather tools and supplies for work sites.
• Drive to work sites using company vehicle.
• Perform annual service and diagnostic work on generators, including warranty repairs.
• Carry out preventative maintenance such as oil changes, battery maintenance and valve adjustments.
• Maintain organization of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Keep work area clean and dispose of materials properly.
• Work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Overview

Generator Service Technician

Mountain Home Services is currently seeking a Generator Service Technician to join our team comprised of creative and energetic employees, who are dedicated to delivering the best customer service experience every day. Our Generator Service Technicians perform annual preventative maintenance (PM) services on customer generators which include but are not limited to oil changes, battery maintenance, valve adjustments and diagnosing and repairing any generators that may not be operating.

Qualifications

Do I have What it Takes?

• Mechanical aptitude

• 1+ years' experience in mechanical related job duties (oil changes, air filter changes, small engine repair or other similar responsibilities

• Ability to read one-line diagrams or schematics
• Generac protector training preferred

• Must be self-motivated to remain on schedule

• Integrity and the ability to promote a positive company image

• Provide exceptional customer service while on the job site

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks daily

What Will I do?

• Gather tools and supplies to be used at work site

• Perform annual service, diagnostic and warranty repairs on generators

• Preventative maintenance service includes oil changes, battery maintenance, valve adjustments and any additional troubleshooting as needed.

• Maintain tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order

• Clean work area, machines, tools, equipment and dispose of excess materials, and refuse

• Technicians will be expected to keep their van clean and organized.
