Qualifications
- Experience as Generator Maintenance Technician or related mechanical/electrical field.
- Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engines, electrical systems, and control panels for generators.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment for power generation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting with a methodical approach to problem solving.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Eastern Cape.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on generators.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in generator models.
- Conduct load bank testing and system diagnostics for optimal performance.
- Respond to emergency service calls to repair malfunctioning generators promptly.
- Maintain accurate service records of maintenance, parts used, and test results.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards for generator maintenance and fuel handling in East London.
