Job summary

Foley Equipment's EPG Field Technician role in Kansas/NW Missouri focuses on troubleshooting, servicing and repairing power generation systems, generators, transfer switches, UPS and switchgear at customer sites. You will perform DOT inspections, run generator pre-starts and start-ups, and handle load bank testing with resistive equipment.

The ideal candidate brings knowledge of diesel power systems, reads specifications and schematics, and holds a Class A or B CDL or can obtain one.

Qualifications

  • Read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins.
  • Read and interpret schematics, line diagrams and other related publications.
  • Follow manufacturer checklists and procedures during start-ups and servicing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on power generation assemblies.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and make recommended repairs.
  • Perform critical repairs and adjustments and ensure proper operation.
  • Willing to work overtime as required by workload and be available for after-hours calls.
  • Conduct generator pre-starts and start-ups per manufacturer checklist.
  • Travel for training or to assist at other locations.

Foley Equipment is the authorized Caterpillar dealer in Kansas and NW Missouri.The EPG Field Technician is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, servicing and repairing power generation related systems, generators, engines, transfer switches, UPS and switchgear systems.
