Job summary

Giga Energy is seeking a Generator Commissioning Lead to oversee the on-site commissioning of generators across mechanical, electrical, and controls scopes. You will coordinate with vendors, project managers, and site contractors to ensure smooth turnover and testing.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical/mechanical/generator environments, strong technical communication, and willingness to travel to data center sites; remote planning between campaigns is expected.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, generators or data center operations.
  • Ability to travel to data center sites and work odd hours as needed.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own generator commissioning from delivery to turnover across mechanical, electrical and controls scopes.
  • Coordinate with vendors, PMs, and site contractors to keep work in sequence.
  • Lead testing, troubleshooting, and on-site problem solving.
  • Plan and deliver commissioning documentation and turnover packs.
