Job summary

Ingeteam in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Assembly Technician to perform mechanical assembly of generator components. You will follow blueprints, SOPs and schematics, using measuring tools and torque wrenches to ensure accuracy and quality.

You will track time, document materials, and coordinate with quality and production teams. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and willingness to become certified on cranes and forklifts. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

  • Must read and follow detailed work instructions and perform basic math.
  • Ability to interpret measurements.
  • Experience using measuring devices and power tools (torque wrenches, hand tools) is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Reliable with good attendance; adhere to attendance policy.
  • Team player able to work under supervision.
  • Willingness to be trained/certified to operate cranes and forklifts.
  • High school diploma or GED; mechanical assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components using blueprints, SOPs and schematics.
  • Operate measuring tools and torque wrenches; use hand, power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools.
  • May operate overhead cranes and forklifts; obtain certification if required.
  • Record traceability and complete paperwork in the DCS system.
  • Track time for costing and report material shortages.
  • Coordinate with quality to pass inspections and prepare shipments.
  • Follow 6S and keep work area clean and organized.
  • Learn tasks for different generator models.
  • Comply with EH&S and company policies.
  • Attend to housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
  • Be punctual at shift start and end.
