Job summary

Apple, Inc. in Sunnyvale, California seeks a creative Computer Vision and Machine Learning (CVML) Generalist Engineer to drive generative image and video systems focused on human subjects.

You will own end-to-end development from prototype to production in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You should have strong CV and ML foundations, hands-on engineering experience with agentic workflows, and experience with Python/C++ and DL frameworks.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
• Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of machine learning and deep learning.
• Experience building and evaluating LLM/VLM-powered agents, including tool use, multi-step reasoning, planning, and context management.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++, and experience with a deep learning framework such as PyTorch or JAX.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve image and video generation models, algorithms, and systems, especially for human subjects.
• Own vision-based systems end to end, from prototype to production.
• Build new technology and maintain existing systems, using AI tools / coding tools to work faster.
• Work with other researchers, engineers, and cross-functional partners to turn research into product-ready solutions.
