Job summary

Referment is hiring a full-stack engineer for its generative AI services team. You will design and build web applications and interfaces that make AI tools accessible to users across a global investment firm.

You will develop APIs and backend services, collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers, and contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from architecture to deployment and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience building web applications with modern UI frameworks and front-end technologies.
• Experience designing and developing APIs and backend services in production.
• Interest in generative AI technologies and a collaborative, pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication, self-management, and organizational skills, with a client-service mindset toward colleagues across the firm.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement web applications and interfaces that make generative AI tools accessible and effective for users across the firm.
• Develop and maintain the APIs and backend services that power generative AI applications and integrate with internal systems.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into high-quality, user-centric solutions.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle, from concept and architecture through deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and team initiatives that strengthen engineering practices and product quality.
