Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience leading ML design and optimizing ML infrastructure.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques or related concepts.
• 2 years of people management or team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and productize scalable generative AI architectures for NLU, multi-modal inputs, and context ingestion.
• Lead technical strategy and execution for the Gemini for Home conversational stack across tasks and open-domain interactions.
• Optimize production conversational systems for latency, reliability, and safety.
• Collaborate with research scientists, product managers, and data scientists to evaluate, fine-tune, and deploy foundation models.
• Manage, mentor, and grow an initial team of software engineers with a high-velocity engineering culture.
