Cognizant is seeking an AI Engineer to join our AI & Data Science team. The role focuses on building scalable AI solutions and data pipelines for diverse data types, enabling advanced analytics and intelligent automation across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python, SQL, ML/AI frameworks, and familiarity with cloud AI platforms. Collaboration with data scientists and engineers is essential to deliver impactful AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, AI, or related field.
• Portfolio of AI projects or open-source contributions.
• Experience with Python and SQL.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, train, and deploy ML/DL models including Generative AI solutions.
• Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and statistics to support model development.
• Ingest and analyze structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from diverse sources using Python/SQL.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver AI solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and model cards.
• Monitor and optimize AI models and data workflows for performance and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies.
