Job summary

Intone Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking an AI Engineer for a 12-month contract to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions focusing on generative AI, large language models, and enterprise AI integration.

You will build AI agents, engineer prompts, and integrate REST APIs within Azure-based environments. Responsibilities include deploying solutions with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, and Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), while upholding responsible

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, AI/ML, Cloud Engineering, or Automation.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models, and/or Microsoft Copilot.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry.
• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Experience building AI agents and agentic workflows.
• Strong proficiency in Java and/or JavaScript.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Strong Azure cloud experience.
• Knowledge of large language models, natural language processing, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Experience with AI monitoring, Responsible AI practices, and AI governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop generative AI and large language model solutions
• Build and optimize AI agents and agentic workflows
• Perform prompt engineering and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) approaches
• Develop and integrate REST APIs for AI applications
• Configure and deploy solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure OpenAI / Azure AI Foundry
• Implement Power Platform solutions including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI integrations
• Monitor AI model performance and implement responsible AI and governance practices
• Work with cloud infrastructure and AI services on Azure
