Job description

• This role will support the design and implementation of Generative AI solutions used to automate complex operational processes and customer requests.
• The position will focus on building hands-on AI and intelligent automation solutions using Python, LangGraph, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent-based architectures.
• Develop AI agents that identify customer intent, collect information across applications, validate data, interact with APIs and automated workflows, and execute operational processes.
• Design and implement LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows that replace or streamline manual operational activities.
• Build document extraction and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions using Python and AI frameworks.
• Implement document processing capabilities involving OCR, PDF parsing, structured and unstructured data extraction, confidence scoring, rule-based validation, semantic matching, and fuzzy comparison.
• Develop and implement RAG solutions for retrieving, processing, and utilizing enterprise information within Generative AI applications.
• Build AI agents and orchestration workflows using Python, LangGraph, LangChain, Google ADK, and related agent-based frameworks.
• Integrate AI solutions with REST APIs, enterprise applications, bots, and supporting services.
• Develop solutions that validate customer and operational information, execute automated processing steps, and support downstream workflows.
• Work within a highly containerized, cloud-driven Generative AI environment.
• Utilize technologies including Python, LangGraph, RAG, MongoDB, Kafka, REST APIs, and Java-based services.
• Participate in technical design decisions involving model selection, architecture, workflow design, document processing, and AI implementation approaches.
• Clearly communicate technical decisions and explain the reasoning behind selected models, frameworks, and implementation approaches.
• Work within an environment with strong expectations around AI governance, reliability, and production-ready implementation.
• This position requires hybrid onsite work in Charlotte, NC three days per week.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience developing Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, or Intelligent Automation solutions.
• 3+ years of hands-on Python development experience within AI/ML or Generative AI applications.
• Hands-on experience with AI development frameworks and agent-based architectures, including LangGraph and LangChain.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications and AI agents.
• Experience implementing Document AI or Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions.
• Hands-on experience with document extraction and processing using Python and AI frameworks.
• Experience with OCR, PDF parsing, data extraction, confidence scoring, rule-based validation, semantic matching, and/or fuzzy comparison.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with REST APIs and enterprise applications.
• Experience designing workflow automation or intelligent automation solutions.
• Ability to demonstrate practical implementation experience with Generative AI solutions rather than solely theoretical knowledge.
• Ability to discuss specific AI projects personally designed or implemented, including technical architecture and individual contributions.
• Strong understanding of model selection and the ability to explain why specific models, frameworks, or technical approaches were selected.
• Experience working with cloud-based and containerized application environments.
• Experience with MongoDB and Kafka is preferred.
• Experience with Google ADK or similar agent development frameworks is preferred.
• Experience integrating with Java-based services is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high expectations around AI governance and solution quality.
• Financial services experience is not required; candidates from other industries with comparable hands-on Generative AI and automation experience will be considered.
