Job summary

The Neshaminy School District has a 10-month, part-time Food Service General Worker/Floater opening at Neshaminy High School. This 4.5-hour position handles lunch prep, serving, and daily cafeteria cleaning.

As a floater, you may report to any food service position in the district and perform tasks such as stocking, serving lines, cashier duties, and basic food preparation while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible and able to perform various tasks.
• Must be physically able to lift heavy objects and materials up to 50 pounds.
• Strong human relations skills & be able to work in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in the preparation of foods as directed.
• Assists in preparing, stocking & setting up serving lines for the lunch period.
• Assists with the food serving lines during the lunch period and replenishes serving trays, food, and utensils throughout the shift.
• Refills all food condiment containers.
• Washes and scrapes dishes to prepare them for the dishwasher. Assists in the cleaning of pots and pans and other cafeteria utensils and equipment.
• Follows daily & weekly cleaning charts.
• Runs register as the cashier selling food and beverages.
• Prepares foods such as salads, sandwiches and desserts.
• Assists with food orders, deliveries, and receiving.
• Performs other related duties as necessary for the orderly functioning of a school cafeteria during the meal periods as assigned by management.
• Will fill in at other schools as needed, performing job tasks listed above.

The Neshaminy School District hasan opening for a 10 month part-time Food Service General Worker/Floater at Neshaminy High School. This 4.5 hour positon from is responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of school lunches and for the daily cleaning of all cafeteria areas and equipment.

The selected candidate will be required to provide employment clearances from the FBI (registration number); State Police and DPW child abuse clearances as well as an Act 168 form for your current employer as well as all prior employment covered under the act.
