Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a General Warehouse Person to process and ship orders to stores serving our customers. You will handle receiving, scanning, picking, packing, auditing and shipping merchandise in a distribution center.

You will track inbound and outbound items using RF scanning, verify orders in the inventory management system, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while meeting quality standards set by center management.

Qualifications

• Willing to work flexible shifts including overtime.
• Able to stand 8–10 hours daily.

Job Summary:

The General Warehouse Person is responsible for performing tasks involved in processing and shipping orders to the stores that service our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities may include but not limited to: receiving, scanning, picking, packing, auditing and shipping merchandise to the stores that service our customers. This may require at times to work in areas higher than ground level.


• Tracks all inbound and outbound items through radio frequency (RF) scanning to ensure accountability in inventory.


• Verifies orders and ensures entry into the inventory management system.


• Operates a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that all areas of the distribution center are well maintained, kept orderly and free of debris.


• Maintains quality standards set forth by distribution center management.

Basic Qualifications

• Willing to work a flexible shift including overtime as needed.


• Willing and able to stand at least 8-10 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.


• Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, bending, grasping, daily pre-shift stretching, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school/GED diploma preferred.


• At least two years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center.


• At least 6 months experience operating motorized material handling equipment.


• At least 6 months experience with radio frequency (RF) scanning


• At least 6 months experience entering and retrieving data in an inventory management system.

Salary Range: $18.92 - $22.89 / Hourly
