U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. (USESI) is the nation's largest independent electrical wholesale distributor, made up of 14 regional businesses with over 100 years of industry experience and more than 1,500 employees.
We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and lead our Second Shift operations at our Tucker, GA Distribution Center. This role plays a pivotal part in driving operational efficiency, ensuring top-tier customer service, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipManage all second shift distribution operations including shipping, wire room, dispatch, and outbound loading.
Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer expectations.
Monitor daily operations and employee performance; identify and resolve inefficiencies.
Coordinate manpower to meet shipping schedules and prioritize operational demands.
Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leads, and warehouse associates.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Conduct team meetings to review metrics, communicate updates, and drive performance.
Evaluate and improve warehouse processes for productivity and accuracy.
Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), such as Solar Eclipse, to optimize workflows and track KPIs.
Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions promptly to management.
Ensure full compliance with OSHA and Georgia state labor laws.
Conduct routine safety inspections and ensure safe handling, storage, and shipping practices.
Promote a safety-first culture across the shift through training and reinforcement.
Maintain high customer satisfaction through accurate and timely deliveries.
Oversee outbound inventory accuracy and resolve order discrepancies.
Protect company assets and prevent loss or damage.
High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
5+ years in warehouse supervision or operations management.
Demonstrated success in managing shift teams and warehouse processes.
Experience with process improvement strategies and WMS.
Proficiency in RF systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Conflict resolution and team-building capabilities.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Flexible availability for second and occasional third shift coverage.
This is a physically active role in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended hours as needed.
Role starts at 1:00 PM and concludes when daily operational goals are achieved.
