Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a General Warehouse Associate to join a fast-paced distribution center in Kentucky. You will contribute to accurate receiving, packing, loading, and shipping operations while maintaining safety and efficiency on the warehouse floor.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift and load boxes 8+ hours.
• At least 1 year of previous warehouse experience.

• Team player with ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Unloading trailers by hand and with pallet jacks and other equipment as needed.
• Process, pack, load and ship freight accurately.
• Check merchandise to ensure shipment accuracy and undamaged condition.
• Assist in receiving duties and other general warehouse tasks as needed.

As a General Warehouse Associate, you'll get to make a difference in a fast-paced distribution center.

Current Shifts Include

• 1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (five 8-hour shifts)
• 3rd Shift Monday-Thursday 7:00 PM - 5:30 AM (four 10-hour shifts)

Qualification/Basic Job Requirements

• Work safely, quickly and efficiently handing freight and inventory throughout the warehouse
• Ensure accurate processing, packing, loading and shipping of freight
• Check merchandise to ensure that shipment is accurate and merchandise is not damaged.
• Unload trailers by hand and with pallet jacks and other equipment as needed
• Assist in various receiving duties
• Assist in other general warehouse duties on an as needed basis
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. frequently
• Ability to stand, walk, lift and load boxes 8+ hours
• Team players
• At least 1yr of previous warehouse experience
