Job summary

Impact Employment Solutions is seeking a General Warehouse worker in Independence, Missouri. The ideal candidate will operate forklifts and power tools, fill orders with an RF scanner, and help maintain a safe and organized environment. Applicants must have a clean background, pass a drug test, and have at least a high school diploma or GED. This position offers hourly pay between $17 and $20 and runs Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 3:30 PM. It's a temporary to hire opportunity.

Overview

Job Title: General Warehouse
Location: Independence
Schedule: M-F 6am-3:30pm
Hourly Pay: $17-20
Term: Temp-Hire

Role and Responsibilities

• Following instructions from mill operators and managers/supervisors
• Safely operating a variety of power tools including electric and pneumatic
• Ability to safely operate a forklift/Combi lift
• Checking fluids on equipment (forklift/Combi Lift)
• Banding and clearing all lines and placing products in storage racks
• Fill orders using a pick ticket with an RF scanner
• Ensuring product is damage free and piece counts and color match order
• Assisting in unloading & loading of C/C trucks and will calls as needed
• Following all safety guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Assisting other departments as needed and or directed by a managers/supervisors

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to read, hear, talk, wear PPE, and lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
• Must be able to stand, bend, and/or walk approximately 7 ½ hours minimum per work shift
• Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in the winter and summer months
• Noise level is moderate to loud
