TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants is hiring for a General Utility role to maintain kitchen areas, dishware and utensils in a clean, sanitary condition. You will assist in food preparation and contribute to a culture aligned with our core values.

Primary duties include dishwashing, pot/pan cleaning, trash removal and general sanitation. The position involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in a hot, damp environment while supporting a flexible team.

Responsabilités

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in the dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine.
• Completes all assigned prep work and supports kitchen tasks as needed.
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area.
• Cleans work tables, equipment and floors to maintain sanitation.
• Maintains and operates the dish machine and related equipment.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds as required.
• Works indoors and outdoors as needed; exposed to hot and damp conditions.
• Responds effectively in emergency situations to ensure safety.

Essential Job Functions

Primary Duties:

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in dishwashing machine (50%*).
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine (15%*).
• Completes all assigned prep work (10%*).
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area (10%*).
• Washes work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment and floors (5%*).
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles (5%*).
• Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine (5%*).
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Ability to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on both high and low shelves.
• Works indoors (90%*), outdoors (10%*).
• Works frequently in a hot and damp environment.
• Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent danger to self and others.

Physical And Mental Requirements

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
