Yavapai Regional Medical Group in Prescott, AZ is seeking a General Surgery Physician Assistant to support four surgeons and deliver exceptional outpatient and inpatient surgical care, helping patients regain mobility and reduce pain.

The role involves clinic and hospital rounds, with volumes up to 20 clinic patients, 5+ inpatient and 5+ consults, plus procedures like hemorrhoid banding and lipoma/cancer removals.

Qualifications

• Degree as a Physician Assistant
• Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Minimum 1 years surgical First Assist PA experience, preferably in an acute setting
• Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant
• Valid DEA registration
• Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff

Responsibilities

As our General Surgery Physician Assistant, you will empower Prescott residents, delivering exceptional outpatient and inpatient surgery care so they can regain mobility, reduce pain, and achieve optimal musculoskeletal health. This crucial role directly supports our mission to provide high-quality, patient-centered healthcare within a thriving community.

In this dynamic role, you will be:

• Joining joining a group of four surgeons.
• Assisting and older population.
• Projected Volumes: Clinic days up to 20 patients
• Inpatient? Could be 5 or more
• Consults? Could be 5 or more
• 36 patient facing hours, hospital rounding in am clinic, 1-2 days clinic patients

To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong clinical background as a General Surgery Physician Assistant, demonstrated proficiency in outpatient surgery management, and the ability to seamlessly transition between clinic, hospital rounds, and surgical assistance. Ideal candidates will have experience with the listed procedures and a commitment to collaborative, patient-focused care.
