Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a General Surgery Physician for locum tenens support. Start date ASAP with on-call shifts. 24-hour trauma call coverage with 12 hours of primary call and 12 hours of backup call at a Level II Trauma Center; acute care trauma responsibilities.

Credentialing typically 60–90 days. Board Certified General Surgery required, with BLS-AHA, DEA and state medical licensure. AMN provides malpractice insurance, travel, lodging, rentals and transportation arrangements.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in General Surgery.
• BLS-AHA Certification required.
• DEA license required.
• Medical state license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour trauma call coverage.
• Perform general surgery and trauma surgery cases at a Level II Trauma Center; Acute Care Trauma Call coverage.
• Coordinate with hospital staff for inpatient trauma care.
