Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME seeks a General Surgery Physician Assistant to join a collaborative surgical team delivering comprehensive perioperative care. The role supports attending surgeons across inpatient, outpatient, and perioperative settings.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current state license as a Physician Assistant.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Two years of experience as a Physician Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and medical history taking.
• Evaluate surgical consultations and plan treatment in collaboration with supervising surgeons.
• Manage preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative patient care.
• Order, interpret, and communicate labs, radiology, and diagnostic results.
• Assist surgeons in operations and participate in robotic, laparoscopic, and open procedures.
