Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks a General Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) for locum tenens coverage in Plano, Texas. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8a–5p, 3 days per week with credentialing expected in ~30 days. Practice includes outpatient and inpatient surgical care with clinic follow-up.

Board Certified NP/PA with Texas license, BLS and DEA are required. AMN provides malpractice insurance and handles travel, lodging, and logistics for contractors.

Qualifications

• Certifications required: Board Certified, BLS and DEA.
• Licensure required: Texas State Medical License.
• Credentialing timeframe: 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Surgical assisting and clinic follow-up in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Provide coverage as General Surgery NP/PA on a locum tenens basis.
• Coordinate with scheduling to maintain 40-hour weeks (Mon-Fri 8a-5p).
