A historic 70-bed general medical and surgical hospital in the heart of the West Virginia Appalachian Mountains is seeking a BE/BC General Surgery physician to join their staff. This position offers full, part-time, or PRN options, with three surgeons currently providing coverage and a pathway to shape clinical interests.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in General Surgery.
• Be adept at managing a mix of bread-and-butter cases.
• Open to full-time, part-time or PRN employment.

Responsibilities

• 3–5 ED consults per week.
• 1–2 emergent surgeries per week.
• Engage in a mix of bread-and-butter cases and shape clinical interests.
• Make your own schedule within department needs.

The Opportunity

• The hospital currently supports three surgeons who each work 3 weeks per month (12 weeks vacation per year)
• Low Volume Call Responsibilities - 3 - 5 ED Consults per week and 1 - 2 emergent surgeries per week
• Mix of Bread and Butter cases with freedom to shape clinical interests
• Make Your Own Schedule
• Full benefits if at least 0.70 FTE including $6000 for CME
