Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) in the Boston metro north region seeks a full-time General Surgeon to join the Department of Surgery. The position includes a HMS faculty appointment and a broad surgical practice at CHA Cambridge and CHA Everett Hospitals.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in General Surgery.
• Massachusetts Medical License and DEA registration (active or ability to obtain).
• Advanced MIS and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad mix of general, advanced laparoscopic, robotic, cancer, and endoscopic procedures at CHA Cambridge and CHA Everett Hospitals.
• Teach and train surgical residents and HMS students; HMS faculty appointment commensurate with appointment criteria.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and an extensive referral network (140,000-patient ACO).
• 24/7 in-house housestaff coverage and assistance in the OR.
• Participate in NSQIP, NAPBC, ACS CoC, and bariatric/medical weight management programs.
• Call coverage shared at approximately 1:6; No trauma call.
