Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a General Surgeon to provide clinical, surgical, and on-call coverage in Miles City, MT. This PRN role supports PTO, CME, and other needs with a focus on quality patient care.

The position involves laparoscopic, colonoscopic, and robotic procedures, collaborating with CRNAs, and maintaining continuity of care within Holy Rosary Hospital's team. A Montana license and board eligibility are required.

Qualifications

MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Residency trained in General Surgery.
Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery.
Active, unobstructed Montana medical license, or ability to obtain one.
Ability to complete Intermountain Health's credentialing process.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical and surgical coverage in a PRN capacity.
Perform laparoscopic, colonoscopic, and robotic procedures where needed.
Collaborate with CRNAs and support continuity of care.
Support PTO, CME, and other coverage needs with flexible scheduling.

About this role.

As a General Surgeon, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering high-quality care and an excellent patient experience. In this PRN role, you will provide clinical, surgical, and call coverage during PTO, CME, and other coverage or overlap needs. You will provide a range of surgical services, including laparoscopic, colonoscopic, and robotic procedures, while collaborating with CRNAs and supporting continuity of care. Preferred availability is approximately 10 grouped days per month; however, we are open to discussing a schedule that aligns with your monthly availability and the needs of the team.

Holy Rosary Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, with 3 OR suites, 1 endoscopy suite, and a 5-bed ICU for inpatient support.

Must be able to respond to trauma calls within 20 minutes Epic EMR utilization (system-wide).
