Job summary

MUSC Health – Kershaw Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join its well-established practice in Camden, South Carolina. The role involves broad general surgery care in a community-based setting, including clinic, operative cases, endoscopy, inpatient care, and call duties.

The chosen candidate will join three experienced surgeons and a dedicated team to provide exceptional care to patients in Camden and surrounding communities. New graduates and subspecialists are welcome.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a 5-year General Surgery Residency (ACGME/AOA).
• South Carolina Medical License (or eligible).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by AB Surgeon.
• BLS, ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad general surgery care in a community-based setting (clinic, OR, endoscopy, inpatient).
• Participate in call responsibilities with a 1:3 ratio.
• Collaborate with three experienced surgeons and a support team to deliver patient care.
