Job summary

Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital is seeking a General Surgeon to help establish a new employed practice with an experienced partner. The role balances clinic and operating room time while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a broad range of general surgery conditions.

You will coordinate pre- and post-operative care and utilize minimally invasive approaches, including laparoscopic and open techniques; a robotic platform is anticipated as the program expands.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board eligible or board certified in General Surgery.
• ACGME-accredited residency in General Surgery.
• Active Utah medical license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Establish a new employed general surgery practice with another experienced surgeon.
• Balance clinic and operating room time.
• Coordinate pre- and post-operative care across cases.
• Incorporate minimally invasive approaches; traditional open surgery; future robotic-assisted techniques.

Education
