Job summary

McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, Michigan, is recruiting a General Surgeon to join our team of providers. The role supports a growing community with a diverse case mix and strong administrative backing, including APP support on the inpatient side and trauma call coverage at McLaren Bay Hospital.

The schedule starts with 1 day of scopes, 1 day in the OR, and 3 days in clinic, with OR days increasing as ramp-up occurs.

Qualifications

• Board-certified General Surgeon joining a group.
• Willing to work in a high-volume, trauma-oriented center.
• Ability to collaborate with APPs on inpatient services.
• Experience with diverse case mix preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a group of board-certified General Surgeons.
• APP support on the inpatient side.
• Support a growing community and increased demand for services in the Great Lakes Bay & Thumb Region.
• Diverse case mix, collegial environment and expert operations management.
• Strong support from hospital administration and marketing development to ensure practice growth.
• This practice shares trauma call coverage at our McLaren Bay Hospital.
• Onsite CT, Ultrasound and x-ray in the hospital. Ultrasound and Bovee in the clinic.
• Level 3 trauma center offering 12 OR’s, a hybrid OR and DaVinci Surgical System.
• Schedule starting out will be 1 day of scopes, 1 day OR, 3 days clinic. OR days will increase as you ramp up.
