Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.

• Proficiency in laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
• At least 5 years post-training experience.
• Eligible for Florida medical licensure.
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism.
• Interest in academic surgery and teaching within a team environment.

General Surgeon – Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach, FL

Department: General Surgery

Job Description Summary: Join a high-volume, hospital-based general surgery practice that provides comprehensive care for both elective and emergency general surgery patients. Manage a wide spectrum of general surgical conditions, with emphasis on minimally invasive approaches to abdominal, hernia, biliary, GI, and acute care surgery. Participate in an emergency general surgery service, including shared call coverage, with access to advanced technology and subspecialty support. Maintain an active elective surgical practice in alignment with the surgeon’s clinical interests and expertise. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including oncology, gastroenterology, and critical care, to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care. Participate in the education of medical students and general surgery residents in the operating room, clinic, and didactic settings. Contribute to institutional quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based surgical practices.

Qualifications
