National Wound Physician Group seeks a Part-Time General Surgeon in Springfield, IL. Join a national wound physician group delivering bedside wound care across facilities, with no night or weekend calls.

Expect autonomy with a minimum of 3 weekdays per week, a 7am–4pm schedule for full-time options, and a mobile practice serving multiple facilities within a 40–60 mile radius. W2 employment with paid training and a 20–30 patient daily load is typical.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings (SNFs and LTACH hospitals).
• Lead weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Part-time role: minimum 3 days/week; full-time: 4–5 days/week.
• Mobile practice visiting facilities within a 40–60 mile radius.
• Conduct real-time clinical documentation during rounds using proprietary EMR.
• Onboarding includes paid training and 6‑month wound care fellowship.

Requirements:

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.

Practice Overview:

• Full time work: Monday - Friday (7am-4pm) or part time available.
• No call / No weekend clinical responsibilities.
• Physicians deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals.
• Our physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Part‑time role is a minimum of 3 days per week. Full time role is 4 - 5 days per week.
• This is a mobile practice: The physicians visit facilities in a 40 - 60 mile radius of practice location.
• Our physicians visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
• Clinical documentation is at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using our proprietary wound specific EMR.
• Paid Training is provided during onboarding + 6 months wound care fellowship
• W2 employment contract (No work visa sponsorship is available)
