Job summary

RK Mechanical, Inc. in Abilene, TX seeks a General Superintendent with sheet metal experience to lead field execution on large mechanical projects. You will drive labor planning, safety, quality, and productivity while developing Superintendents, Foremen, and craft teams.

You will partner with project management and operations to anticipate issues, leverage prefabrication, and build strong customer relationships on high-profile projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive mechanical, plumbing, or industrial construction experience.
• Sheet metal experience.
• Proven success leading complex projects, multiple crews, and field leaders.
• Deep expertise in labor planning, scheduling, productivity, quality, cost, and project execution.
• Strong judgment and the ability to make decisions in fast-moving environments.
• Track record of developing people and building accountable teams.

Responsibilities

• Own field execution from preconstruction and mobilization through commissioning and turnover
• Turn project strategy into action across labor, schedule, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Lead and develop Superintendents, Foremen, and high-performing craft teams
• Partner with Project Management and Operations to solve problems before they impact the field
• Leverage prefabrication, technology, and planning to improve productivity and execution
• Set the standard for safety, quality, accountability, and craftsmanship
