Job summary

MSS Solutions LLC in the United States seeks a General Superintendent Mechanical with extensive field construction leadership. You will supervise the actual physical construction, ensure compliance with contract documents, codes, and project requirements, and coordinate with the Project Manager on reports and delays.

You will lead teams, manage relationships with customers, subs, and vendors, review blueprints, resolve on-site issues, and oversee safety and quality across MSS projects.

Qualifications

• Experience managing site logistics and contract operations on urban sites.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Project.
• Knowledge of all construction phases.
• Experience in cost control, scheduling, and methods for project scope.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years as Lead Superintendent.
• Read blueprints and installation manuals.
• Background check and drug test required.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities per contract documents and codes.
• Lead and inspire teams; maintain client relationships.
• Coordinate with PMs, supers, field workers; track delays.
• Attend inspections and manage MSS tool tracking.
• Forecast labor and equipment needs; manage budget.
• Read blueprints and installation manuals; solve issues.
• Coordinate subcontractors and vendors; ensure quality.
• Ensure project safety and report progress weekly.

Role and Responsibilities

• Supervision of the actual physical construction of the project in strict accordance with the contract documents local & national building codes and project specific compliance requirementsWork with Project Manager to document and maintain standard reports for delays work arounds shutdowns and tie ins etcResolution of personal disputes on jobsite
• Ability to lead and inspireMaintain satisfactory relationships with customers subcontractors vendors etc
• and the ability to work in a team environment with Project Managers Superintendents field labor etcQuality assuranceControl for all MSS related scope scheduleAttend ALL inspections on projects assignedManage enforce and provide feedback on MSS tool tracking program as it applies to assigned projects and personnelForecast and manage differing levels of labor and equipment on assigned projectsOrganize labor force needed to efficiently and effectively complete jobs on time and budgetRead complex blueprints and equipment installation manualsSolve complex job related problems or bring solutions to the Project Team andor Field Ops ManagerLiaison with client representativesTrack the project progress and report it to the Field Ops Manager and Project Managers weeklyManage safety on assigned project and assist safety manager in maintaining a safe working environment from the fieldCoordinate and communicate daily job operations with project managersManage the activities of subcontractors vendors and labor maintaining strict control over the accuracy and quality for each work activityIdentify and report problems or deficiencies to the Project Manager Document on site activities that may impede progress or compliance to projectcontract requirementsInterview and select field staff for the jobsiteAttend all project meetingsPerform safety talks and keep check in sheetsPerform performance reviews for employees on the projectOther such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of the management of site logistics and contract operations on tight urban sites
• Must be competent in using Microsoft Excel Word and Project
• Must have knowledge of all phases of construction
• Must have experience and proficiency in all divisions of work methods materials scheduling and cost control of project scope
• Strong technical and communication skills are critical
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with construction experience as a Lead Superintendent
• A thorough understanding of and ability to maintain current complete set of project documents blueprints revisions specifications and related items
• Ability to multitask and juggle competing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Experience in accessing reading and complete the installation of system from a BIM coordinated project
• Must be able to work with variety of tools
• Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
• Must have OSHA 30 certification
• Bachelors degree or completion of a technical training program or equivalent preferred
