Job summary

Placed is seeking a results-driven Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on a multi-discipline project in Ohio. You will supervise multiple superintendents and trade contractors, keeping safety, schedule, and quality at the forefront.

You will coordinate with the Project Executive, Project Manager, and design team to resolve field conflicts, manage subcontractor performance, and mentor site staff while ensuring compliance with codes and permits.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall supervision and leadership for all field construction operations, coordinating multiple superintendents and trade contractors across the project.
• Develop, manage, and enforce the master project schedule, identifying critical path items and proactively resolving field-level delays.
• Oversee day-to-day site logistics, sequencing, and manpower planning to keep the project on track.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety programs, site-specific safety plans, and OSHA regulations; lead a proactive, zero-incident safety culture.
• Ensure quality control and quality assurance standards are met across all phases of construction.
• Coordinate closely with the Project Executive, Project Manager, and design team to resolve field conflicts, RFIs, and constructability issues.
• Manage subcontractor performance, including scheduling, productivity, and adherence to contract scope.
• Lead pre-construction planning, mobilization, and site setup.
• Conduct regular site walks, progress meetings, and safety audits; maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
• Mentor and develop project superintendents, field engineers, and site staff.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, permits, and jurisdictional requirements.
