Team Car Care West, LLC in Snohomish, WA is seeking a General Service Technician (GST) to professionally service guest vehicles and provide an outstanding guest experience. You will begin in an entry-level role with a training program that certifies you in all offered services, paving the way for career growth.

This role is part-time and on-site, with weekend/holiday hours. The position emphasizes teamwork, clear guest communication, and adherence to safety protocols, while offering benefits

Qualifications

• At least 3 months of customer facing experience (retail, food service, hospitality, etc.).
• Must be at least 18 and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Prior automotive experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Effective communication with guests and teammates.
• Strong work ethic, dependable, and a team player.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, able to follow procedures and make sound decisions.
• Physically able to stand long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks including bending and squatting.
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures, loud environments, and around exhaust fumes.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and some holidays.
• Commitment to safety protocols and company policies.
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during all hours.
• Provide excellent guest service with clear communication about vehicles.
• Keep the service center clean and presentable.
• Mentor junior and mid-level automotive technicians.
• Check and communicate oil level to teammates.
• Ensure proper tire pressure and inflation.
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as needed.
• Complete vehicle inspections and service orders.
• Install new oil drain plug and oil filter.
• Clean and lubricate fittings as required.
• Document all work performed on repair orders.
• Report safety issues immediately to management.
• Adhere to company policy on vehicle care and operation.
• Perform various manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

How you will drive success

• Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during all operating hours
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles
• Ensure that the service center is clean and presentable
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level automotive technicians

• Perform various manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting

What you'll need

• Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (i.e. retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future
• Previous experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Effective communication skills to interact with guests and teammates.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude; independently motivated, dependable, and a team player
• Demonstrates responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures, identify problems, and make sound decisions
• Physically able to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks including bending and squatting
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures, loud environments, and around exhaust fumes
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
• Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
