Team Car Care Dba Jiffy Lube in Lakeway, TX is seeking a General Service Technician for an entry-level role, starting with hands-on vehicle servicing and our training program to achieve service certifications.

This full-time position offers hourly pay of $15.00–$15.24, with a comprehensive benefits package including 401K with company match, biweekly bonuses, daily pay, uniforms, and paid time off after 180 days.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months of customer-facing experience.
• 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and some holidays.
• Prior automotive service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, accurate guest care and promote teamwork during all hours.
• Communicate clearly with guests about vehicle status and needs.
• Keep the service center clean and presentable at all times.
• Mentor junior and mid-level automotive technicians.
• Perform basic service tasks such as oil checks, tire pressures, and fluid top-offs.
• Document all work on repair orders and report safety issues promptly.

HOW YOU WILL DRIVE SUCCESS:

• Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during all operating hours
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles
• Ensure that the service center is clean and presentable
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level automotive technicians
• Checking and communicating oil level to other teammates
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessaryComplete vehicle inspection
• Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
• Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Document all work performed on the repair order
• Report any safety issues immediately to management
• Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation
• Perform various manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting

UNDER THE HOOD – WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (i.e. retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future
• Previous experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Effective communication skills to interact with guests and teammates.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude; independently motivated, dependable, and a team player
• Demonstrates responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures, identify problems, and make sound decisions
• Physically able to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks including bending and squatting
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures, loud environments, and around exhaust fumes
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
• Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned
