Big O Tires - Gardnerville is seeking a General Service Technician to service and maintain tires and wheels, and perform light under-car and under-hood tasks to support safe, timely vehicle maintenance. Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, 18+ years old, and willingness to work holidays/weekends.

Qualifications

• Require a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends and after hours as needed.
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.

Responsabilités

• Perform oil changes and routine maintenance.
• Mount, balance, rotate tires and repair flats.
• Assist with brake, suspension, TPMS and battery servicing.

Pay rate(6+ months experience)

• $20–$25 per hour base pay
• Up to 6% commission
• Typical combined earnings of $25–$30+ per hour

POSITION SUMMARY

As an General Service Technician (GST) for Big O Tires, you will be responsible for servicing and performing maintenance of tires and wheels in an accurate and timely manner, along with any light under car and under hood routine services. You are honest, have a solid work ethic and high motivation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oil changes and routine maintenance services
• Tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and flat repairs
• Brake and suspension repairs
• TPMS diagnostics and calibration
• Battery testing and installation
• Wheel installation and balancing
• Inventory stocking and shop organization
• Test-driving vehicles after service when needed
• Following all safety procedures and participating in ongoing training

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18+ years old
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
• Reliable transportation to work
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
• Capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Willingness to work with hazardous materials and in outdoor weather conditions
• Complies with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations
• Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift
• Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check
