Job summary

Jiffy Lube is seeking a General Service Technician to service guest vehicles and support a hands-on learning path through our training program. You will work in a fast-paced service center, delivering quality work and an exceptional guest experience.

The role starts in an entry-level position with certification opportunities and career growth within Team Car Care. Candidates should be reliable, communicative, and comfortable with physical tasks and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Effective communication to interact with guests and teammates.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude; dependable and a team player.
• Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending/squatting.
• Willingness to work weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during all operating hours.
• Provide excellent guest service with clear communication about guest vehicles.
• Ensure the service center is clean and presentable.
• Mentor junior and mid-level automotive technicians.
• Check and communicate oil level to teammates; ensure proper tire pressure.
• Inspect and refill fluid levels; complete vehicle inspections.
• Document all work performed on repair orders and report safety issues.

HOW YOU WILL DRIVE SUCCESS:

• Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during all operating hours
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles
• Ensure that the service center is clean and presentable
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior and mid-level automotive technicians
• Checking and communicating oil level to other teammates
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Complete vehicle inspection
• Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
• Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Document all work performed on the repair order
• Report any safety issues immediately to management
• Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation
• Perform various manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting

UNDER THE HOOD – WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Must have at least 3 months of customer facing experience (i.e. retail, food service, hospitality, etc.)
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future
• Previous experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Effective communication skills to interact with guests and teammates.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude; independently motivated, dependable, and a team player
• Demonstrates responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to follow procedures, identify problems, and make sound decisions
• Physically able to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks including bending and squatting
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures, loud environments, and around exhaust fumes
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some holidays
• Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned
