Overview

Big O General Service Technicians perform service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  1. Drain oil and change oil filters; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate, and balance tires; check and fill fluids; replace filters and lights.
  2. Unload tires, merchandise, and supplies from trucks and deliveries.
  3. Inspect disposed tires and manage storage or disposal properly.
  4. Clean facilities, tools, and equipment; stock shelves.
  5. Provide courteous customer service, explaining benefits of services and products.
  6. Perform sales duties per company policy, including pricing, promotions, suggestive selling, and stocking.
  7. Maintain store appearance to meet standards.
  8. Operate customer vehicles safely, moving vehicles as needed.
  9. Complete required training timely.
  10. Follow work schedules and clocking procedures.
  11. Report maintenance issues to supervisor.
  12. Assist in training new employees.
  13. Adhere to company policies; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 17 years old (with parental consent).
  • Ability to learn technical concepts and operate a computer.
  • Safe operation of automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Effective communication with customers.
  • Willingness to work with hazardous materials and outdoor conditions.
  • Compliance with PPE regulations.
  • Good sensory abilities (vision, hearing, smell).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and move safely.
  • Availability for holidays, weekends, and after-hours work.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
  • Meet pre-employment requirements and legal work authorization.

Note: Ability to obtain Motor Vehicle Inspection within 6 months for Missouri stores.

Preferred Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace.
