Meckfessel Tire in Belleville, IL is seeking a General Service & Oil Change Technician with at least 1 year of automotive experience. You will perform oil changes, tire service, and preventative maintenance, and conduct digital vehicle inspections with accuracy and care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive repair/service experience.
• Previous tire changing and tire service experience required.
• Knowledge of automotive mechanical and electronic systems.
• Comfortable using automotive shop equipment and tools.

• Good time management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the automotive industry.
• Willingness to pursue ASE certifications.

• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, fluid services, inspections and other preventative maintenance.
• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires.
• Perform basic automotive maintenance and general service repairs.
• Inspect vehicles and complete thorough digital vehicle inspections.
• Identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and potential repairs.
• Document findings and recommendations clearly on vehicle inspections.
• Review work orders and communicate with service advisors as needed.
• Use shop equipment, diagnostic tools, tire equipment, and other automotive equipment safely and efficiently.
• Install automotive components, equipment, and systems.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Provide quality workmanship while working efficiently and accurately.
• Continue learning and adapting to new automotive technology and equipment.
