Job summary

Goodyear is seeking an Entry Level Automotive Technician to gain hands-on experience in one of our Auto Service centers. You will learn basic automotive services while delivering outstanding guest service and working with experienced technicians.

No prior experience required; you will be trained in tire mounting/balancing, oil changes, and preventative maintenance while earning competitive base pay and engaging in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience in automotive service.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform basic automotive services such as mounting and balancing tires, oil changes, and maintenance tasks.
• Work with trained technicians to gain hands-on experience in Goodyear Auto Service centers.
• Deliver excellent guest service and communicate clearly with customers about vehicle needs.
• Promote teamwork to meet guest expectations and follow safety policies at all times.
• Be prepared to perform manual tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods.

The pay range for this position is $18.00-$23.00/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

Depending on location, our stores may be open 7 days a week, which may include weekends and some holidays

About the Role: What skills will you learn?

• How to complete basic automotive services like mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs, oil changes, filters replacements, and more
• Train with mid and senior level automotive technicians to learn additional automotive services.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles
• Promote teamwork to deliver on guest expectations
• Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including consumer tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.
