Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board-Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine.
• Active Maryland physician medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Current DEA license and Maryland CDS license.
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or approved provider).
• Unrestricted medical license with no history of suspension or revocation. Eligible for participation with all payers.

Responsibilities

• Develop efficient workflows and close relationships with referrals and community partners to continue to grow the Incidental Nodule and Lung Cancer Screening Programs.
• Proficient and Experienced in Robotic Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound and ultrasound-guided thoracentesis and chest tube placement.
• Interpret diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies, imaging, pulmonary function test.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of pulmonary disorders, including COPD, asthma, pleural effusions, sarcoid, lung nodules etc.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Document high-quality, compliant clinical notes in the EMR and support clinic access, throughput, and patient experience.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes (e.g., lung cancer screening rates, timeliness to diagnosis and treatment).
• Participate in practice call coverage and practice meetings as required

Education

Board Certified/Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine

Active Maryland physician medical license
